2010 Motor City Bowl:
Marshall Thundering Herd vs. Ohio Bobcats

The Motor City Bowl is a post-season college football bowl game that has been played annually since 1997, which was then called Ford Motor City Bowl. The years 1984 to 1985 marked the first bowl game held in Detroit area. The Motor City Bowl holds games certified by the NCAA with the first five games in 1997-2001 played at Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan. The game shifted to the 65,000-seat Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan starting in 2002.

The game features the champion from the Big Ten Conference playing against the champion from the Mid-American Conference.
